All the “tiger mother” talk has left me wondering: if I were to write a memoir about how I parent, would anyone bother picking up the book, let alone publish an excerpt in a major newspaper?
Very likely, no. For one thing, what I do is fairly common and not at all provocative. More important, perhaps, my children are still very young. They, and I, are works in progress. So I can’t judge how I’m doing and am thus uncertain about how the book would end.
